Faith in Humanity

I’ll be honest, I don’t have a whole lot of faith in humanity. Morality is at an all time low. Violence is at an all time high. Sometimes it seems like the end of days is just around the corner. Given the state of things, would it really be a bad thing if it was?

Or maybe I’m just cynical.

But every once in a while, a story comes along that shows a glimmer of hope in society.

This true story by thedeTOURhome is one of them.

This man is living the dream, cycling down the West coast. After being injured, he is absolutely amazed by the kindness and generosity of complete strangers.

Most of society may be messed up, but his story reminded me that there still are some good people out there.

Check out his blog and read his story.

  1. Hi Phoenix! It’s so humbling to find that my entry made such an impression for you. I hope to continue writing my travels in the most honest way possible. I know that these days, especially with social media, the entire idea of travel is incredibly glamorized. Thank you for giving me greater reason to continue to write!

  2. I once got into a really bad car accident and went across 3 lanes of traffic on 95 about 4 years ago. 3 people pulled over and got out, called my husband, left their numbers and 2 were witnesses for me when I was arguing with the insurance. It really was amazing because I feel like nowadays with cell phones, people rarely stop because if they see you on your phone, they know you’re okay.

Like the new look of the blog by the way!
