Worlds Collide

Poem 15 for NaPoWriMo. Ever feel like you’re two different people sharing one body? I’m not talking about multiple personality syndrome. I’m talking about two patterns of thought and behavior that tend to work against each other. Some might call it double-mindedness. Anyway, here’s a snippet of how crazy I am!

We are halfway through National Poetry Writing Month!

Worlds Collide

When worlds collide
With each other,
Opposite souls hide
From one another.
Two spirits
In one being.
One is blind,
The other is seeing.
Different roads
I can take.
Too many codes
I need to break.
Who am I?
My eternal question.
Not cut-and-dry.
I need a session.
My mind is torn.
What is my fate?
Will I be reborn
Before it’s too late?
