Pride And Joy

Poem number 10 for NaPoWriMo! I’ve written too much drama so far this month. I’m writing about something happy this time. This poem is for and about my two-year-old son.

Pride And Joy

Nothing like a hug
From my little guy.
He puts a smile on my face
When I want to cry.
I love to hear him laugh
When I take him to the park.
A light in the tunnel
When my days are dark.
He’s my little buddy,
My special little boy.
He warms up my heart
And fills it with joy.
I’ll try to make
These memories last.
Because someday soon
He’ll grow up fast.
